This week we talked a lot about art and that being looked down upon for being modern. A nazi viewpoint looked at modern Jewish art/music as bad. The new look on things wasn’t approved because it was almost seen as defiant. New wasn’t a good thing, it expressed new ideas which meant individualism. And the Nazi party was all about the community. Working together, conforming to what they wanted to inflict the German people with.
I kind of thought of this with our music choices today. Everything is so different than one another, it’s kind of fascinating. There’s so many choices and styles of music. I can’t imagine being under the impression to listen to a certain type. If you take a minute and think about what you enjoy listening to, it’s probably a good mix of different thing. This goes for all kinds of art also, not just music. It’s an interesting concept to try to grasp.
