A conclusion to the solution.
Its sad to think despite the liberation of the Death Camps so many Jews still died. The lack of nutrition and hardships they endured still followed them after the camps and led many to their deaths. I know it is morbid and terrible of me to say, but it is almost as if this outcome was Hitlers last jab at the Jews; a gotcha if you will. Perhaps the thought was even if he lost the war and wasn’t able to create his perfect society, at least the after effects would slowly kill off the Jewish population. When the individuals in the camps were liberated the soldiers were told not to treat or feed them because their bodies could not sustain the nourishment. They had been deprived of so much for so long their bodies were adapting to it. Hitler was a smart man, he knew what the effects of depriving the simple necessities would do to a person. We read about him testing this out with the ghettos. But with the camps the length of the deprivations would carry over and affect the prisoners for life. It would mangle them, psychologically change them, and for some kill them. So even though Hitler lost the war and the camps were liberated, a small conclusion to the Final solution was still in a way carried out.
