Never Cease to Resist.
Resistance has and will continue to be a vital part of society. Resistance brings about change. The change is not always necessary or positive, but resistance would be present. During the Nazi regime, resistance was uncommon but needed. People of the likes of Sophie Scholl and everyone else behind The White Rose had stones to post a publication and keep it running for more than one set of printing. The White Rose expanded from one school to to four within a year(1). This shows part of why constant resistance is necessary. There will not always be success, but when there is there needs to be awareness and willingness to change. Being a straggler for fear of prosecution will lead to those who are leading the pack to meet their end. This even holds true today, but everyone is in the straggler phase. People are afraid to stand up to the government for fear that they will not make a change. Everyone sits behind their keyboard and wages war from there, except they are only throwing pebbles at a tank. That is not to say that todays conditions are anything like mid-war Nazi Germany, but it could change that way with one elected official in a time of crisis. Personally, where I was going with this is to drive home the point that it doesn’t take much for someone to take power, but it also only takes one person to start a revolution. Everyone needs to remember why they were there making the effort to resist.
